Ain’t ear infections a bitch?
They sure are. Wyatt had his first ear infection discovered by the Dr on Monday, on Sunday night he was up on and off all night long and while Tom and I took turns cuddling him and putting him back to sleep, it never occurred to us to give him aspirin. So we didn’t. Poor little guy. It’s this damn daycare that is getting him sick constantly. Luckily Wyatt was sick before daycare or I would have pulled him out already, it’s ridiculous. Wyatt of course is adjusting just fine, happy and able to entertain himself in the midst of chaos. The daycare has cameras so I can watch Wyatt anytime I’d like – it makes me feel better to see he’s ok, but, sometimes it makes me feel bad to see him in the corner sucking his thumb, bored because the teachers don’t pay a lot of attention to him because he doesn’t cry and whine. This is why money matters – if I had the money to work part time he would only be there for a few hours. Few days and it would be much more manageable. Anyway, Wyatt spent time at work with Mom and Dad this week, but, is now happily healthily back @ Kiddie Academy.
Tomorrow we leave for California, Lisa arrived yesterday and Liz, Tom, Wyatt and I arrive tomorrow night. I simply can’t wait I am busting – Lisa hasn’t seen Wyatt since he was 6 weeks old and Phoebe since 2 months maybe. I am also just excited to see Lisa and Phoebe and all of Judy’s friends that I haven’t seen in a long time. I am somewhat apprehensive about Tom having a good time. Unless he starts a drinking, all the drinking may irritate him. I hope not, they are a fun group of people, but, Tom doesn’t let loose and have fun with strangers all that often. I guess it will be up to him to have a good time and I can only hope he does and enjoy myself either way. If he doesn’t have a good time, next time Wyatt and I will visit alone.
So off to California, I am praying to the gods of children on long plane rides…
